Tootsie in Indian Drag...
Kittens:
As I look over my "barely there" blog, I realized that I started to chat about my Indian film fascination but never even got started. I have always loved Billy Jack. The great halfbreed Vietnam vet who kicks bigot ass. See the photo below. Very empowering as a young NDN pup. Not sure everyone is familiar with Billy Jack but one of my favorite scenes included Billy Jack giving a redneck a serious Karate chop to the left jaw. So 70's.
However, I think my favorite Indian film of all time has to be Little Big Man with Dustin Hoffman. Just loved it. Come on look at this picture of Dustin Hoffman. Isn't that awesome. It has been praised as sort of a Forest Gump meets Indians. I believe this is really one of best films of Dustin Hoffman's career, his second major role. Just an epic story. I saw this as a kid, it really is one of those movies that I will never get tired of watching. Little Big Man belongs in that league of great American films.
So many good quotes.

Thanks for the movie tips! I added it to my Netflix queue. The kids are finally starting to go to sleep at the same time AND at a reasonable hour (hope I didn't just jinx it), so maybe we'll actually have some hope of watching them.
i finally saw it. i loved it too. "today is a good day to die" brilliant writing. brilliant acting, and plenty of great scenery too.
